Welcome to California Ski Guides ™
While the name may seem new, we have been around since 1981 and are one of the oldest ski guide companies in California. As such we bring a depth and variety of experience that few can match. We take pride in having an intimate knowledge of the state where we guide and have a passion for the snow that is unrivaled. Take some time to look around and get to know us and what we do. California Ski Guides™ is grounded on the principle of providing a high-quality ski and split board guide service for the state of California and beyond. We feel strongly that safety and education should come first on every backcountry endeavor. We are privileged to guide in some very unusual places, and we strive to make every backcountry experience a memorable one.
To fulfill these goals we ensure that we have the best staff available. All of our guides and instructors trained and had received an Avalanche Level II certification, and higher and had a minimum of a Wilderness First Responder medical training. All of our staff are training or pursuing the AMGA (American Mountain Guide Association) Ski Guide certification and try to maintain the highest level of professionalism. Whenever possible we also hire guides who have experience as ski and snowboard educators. Our staff has instructed at such famous mountain resort companies as Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, Crystal Mountain, and Vail. Take the time to meet our staff, and if there is someone who interests you, please feel free to request them for your adventure. We try to accommodate whenever possible. Based in Mt. Shasta, with our parent company Sierra Wilderness Seminars, CSG strives to guide as much of the State as possible. While some areas don’t allow guided parties, we do cover most of California’s best terrain. We are proud to be permittees of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Lassen National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Inyo National Forest. If you have any questions we want to hear from you, give us a call or send an email or CALL: 888-797-6867 or Email: email@example.com
