Sequoia National Park
Private Custom Rates plus additional hut fees.
Leave the heavy packs behind and ski into the Rustic Pear Lake Hut. The famed and historical Pear Lake Hut is owned and operated by Sequoia Natural History Association and located inside Sequoia National Park. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corp starting
1939 this stone and log hut stands as one of the few historic buildings still used for winter recreation inside a National Park. California Ski Guides is one of the few permitted ski guide operators in Sequoia National Park.
Located six miles into the backcountry the Pear Lake Hut allows skiers, and split boarders, to leave crowds and the heavy backpacks behind. In the evenings enjoy high-quality backcountry meals and camaraderie in the warm comfort of the hut. In the mornings the seemingly endless Sequoia National Park is your playground. Numerous slopes and chutes and snowy adventures await. Trips into the Pear Lake Hut are run on a Private/Custom basis only and must be arranged well in advance due to the extreme popularity of this location. For the best dates for the coming season, contact California Ski Guides in October before the Winter Season. Huts are available later as well; we just have to check availability. Groups are limited to 8 persons and two guides.
