Bear Valley Skiing Zones Strong advanced to expert skiers or splitboards - An exciting adventure program is intended for strong advanced and expert skiers seeking great snow, thrills and off the track skiing and riding. Small guided groups enter a "closed" area known as "The Zones" with steep chutes, open bowls, and descents of up to 1000 vertical feet. While no hiking is required, a high traverse makes it difficult for snowboarders* except on Splitboards.

California Ski Guides - Formally Mountain Adventure Seminars and Bear Valley Ski Resort have collaborated to offer an exciting and unique experience for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Small guided groups utilizing the Bear Tracker Snowcat, chairlifts and gravity fed traverses, gain access to “sidecountry” terrain adjacent including "The Zones" adjacent to the ski area for great uncrowded and often untracked slopes. California Ski Guides offers a variety of backcountry ski and snowboard tours at some of the finest areas in California. Whether you are looking for an educational course, a one-day demanding adventure, California Ski Guides can provide "top-notch" backcountry experiences for both skiers and snowboarders

Experienced California Ski Guides will lead you and your group into the surrounding backcountry terrain of Bear Valley Mountain Resort. Bear Valley is exceptionally fortunate to have a wide variety of backcountry terrain (intermediate-advanced) that is designated for non-motorized travelers. Open bowls, scenic ridges and tree glades will provide for a memorable experience.
